How to pick the right host company

Ask about the actual day-to-day

A job title tells you very little. Before accepting an offer, ask what a typical week looks like, who you'll report to, and what you'll be expected to deliver in the first month.

Check what support is provided on arrival

Good host companies help with things like airport pickup, initial accommodation guidance, and a local point of contact — ask directly if these aren't already listed in the opportunity.

Weigh the role against the location

A great role in a city with a high cost of living and a mediocre role somewhere more affordable can end up feeling very different day to day — factor both into your decision, not just the job itself.
